Description:

We return to St John's Church in Alresford with a programme of reflective music from English and American composers.

Walford Davies composed A Short Requiem in 1915, an intriguing collection of nine short motets. Along with part-songs by Elgar, Holst and Richard Rodney Bennet, this will be presented alongside some splendid settings of spirituals and other works from across the Atlantic.
