The Hauptwerk Organ is a remarkable technology that allows majestic organs from around the world to be digitally sampled and recreated. This allows us to bring the experience of hearing the world's most glorious pipe organs directly to us.
On Remembrance Day this year, 11th November 2023, the sounds of the famous Cavaillé-Coll organ of Saint-Etienne Abbey, Caen, France will be brought to St Paul's Church in Winchester. Southern Voices, under the musical direction of Jamal Sutton, and accompanied by Gavin Roberts, Professor at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, will be performing the glorious Duruflé Requiem
. The concert will also feature Arvo Pärt's The Beatitudes
, John Taverner's Svyati
and Gerald Finzi's Lo, the Full and Final Sacrifice
