St Matthew Passion

 Romsey Abbey
21st March 2026, 6:30pm

A rare opportunity to experience JS Bach’s : St Matthew Passion. Under the baton of Andrew Hayman, we will team up with Kingsgate Voices, the Winchester Cathedral Girls Choir and a wonderful line-up of soloists, accompanied on period instruments by the London Baroque Sinfonia.

The St Matthew Passion tells the dramatic story of Christ's last days leading up to his Crucifixion and this Easter masterpiece is not to be missed. 

Choral Scholarship

Southern Voices are excited to welcome two new singers to our Choral Scholarship programme for 2025-2026.  The programme is an opportunity for young singers to join us, all expenses paid, thanks to generous sponsorship by the D'Oyly Carte Charitable Trust.

Applications are currently open for all voice parts (soprano, alto, tenor and bass) to join us in September 2026, with candidates auditioning in July.
 

Friends Programme

If you come to our concerts, you might consider signing up for our new Friends Programme.  Becoming a Friend of Southern Voices allows you to join our community and support us in continuing to deliver choral music you enjoy.

Looking Back...

2024 was a huge year for Southern Voices.  Our ruby anniversary (1984-2024) was celebrated in style!  Jamal created five, fabulous events for the year and it was fitting that each event SOLD OUT as the year unfolded.
